AMD Semiconductor specializes in designing and manufacturing various innovative microprocessors (CPUs, GPUs, motherboard chipsets, TV card chips, etc.) for the computer, communication, and consumer electronics industries, as well as providing flash memory and low-power processor solutions. The company was founded in the late 1960s.
AMD stated: “The Ruilong embedded 5000 processor provides 24 × The ideal combination of performance and reliability required for 7 security and network applications. This extension of our embedded product portfolio provides a mid-range solution that fills the gap between the low-power BGA Ruilong embedded and EPYC embedded series, suitable for customers who require high performance and scalability with up to 16 cores
The AMD Ruilong embedded 5000 processor is built on a 7nm process node and provides “five-year manufacturing availability”. It is available in 6/8/12/16 core versions and supports up to 24 PCIe 4.0 channels (with the AMD X570 chipset, I/O can be expanded to 36 channels). The AMD Ruilong embedded 5000 processor also includes a memory subsystem that supports ECC and a TDP configuration of 65W to 105W.
